Children's Museum
As a father of three girls, it was a blast working on a children's museum project. Throughout the process, I would test out the design with my own daughters (2, 5, and 8 years old).
I created two different wall murals for the expERIEnce children's museum in Erie, PN. The first was a Rube Goldberg Machine, which showcased the history and pride of Erie, PN. It was amazing to research and learn about all the history and inventions that came from this state and area. We spotlighted the local inventors and inventions throughout the design with little Pennsylvania state icons. The biggest challenge was creating a pleasing design that worked with the interactive elements layered on top of it. Plus, the panel breaks for each printed section. The Rube Goldberg Machine was revised and refined throughout the project, which created design ripple effects. There were a lot of specs to juggle and balance, but it turned out amazing in the end. If only Erie, PN was closer to California so I could take my kiddos there so we could all experience it in person. :) |
